Exploding Salted Egg Lava Cookie

The creamery is back and better! We wrote about this Bangkok franchise dessert boutique cafe’s lava cookie when they first opened some time back, and we can’t get enough of it. The flowy effect of this lava cookie has also been gaining much attention among Singaporeans.

This time, Creamery Boutique Ice Cream came back strong with a never seen creation of the Salted Egg Lava Cookie.

This new addition to the lava family – Charcoal Cookie with Salted Egg Lava is definitely a must-try.

For this series, Creamery Singapore uses both egg yolk and egg white. Instead of using pre-made egg yolks, salted eggs are boiled fresh for the preparations. The yolk is used to make Volcano Lava Cookies with charcoal-based cookies and the egg white is used to make Salted Egg White Caramel Ice Creams.

We topped our cookie with the Salted Egg White Caramel ice cream and it was the bomb! We highly recommend this particular ice cream to be paired with the Salted Egg Lava Cookie. I mean, you can never go wrong with two things with the same main ingredient.

It is then drizzled with salted caramel sauce and sprinkled with salted egg white bits. I’m salivating just thinking about it.

The best part about Creamery Boutique Ice Cream is that the staff will prepare your dessert in front of you. Make sure your phone is out and ready to capture this scene as the cookie explodes while your ice cream sits on it.

If you think that this whole dessert is too caramel-ly, you can also opt for other ice cream flavors. They have 12 unique homemade ice cream flavors to choose from. I appreciate how all their desserts are made from scratch under the supervision of the boss, maintaining consistency in their food. Both their ice cream and cookie are surprisingly not very sweet, yet incredibly flavourful. Love their ice creams!!!

Not a fan of the Salted Egg or the standard Chocolate and Matcha Lava desserts? Fret not! Indulge in the Red Velvet Cookie with Cream Cheese Lava.

This is the perfect dessert for you if you are craving something savory-sweet. The explosion of the thick and gooey cream cheese filling (a very generous amount) will be a pleasant surprise for you.

As per usual, the cookie comes with ice cream of choice ($8.90). If you’re stuck choosing from their range of freshly made ice cream choices, just ask the super friendly staff for their recommendations!

The creamery also serves refreshing drinks for thirst-quenching.

Sip on their Yuzu Soda perfect for the hot weather. (My videographer raves about this drink, it has to be good!)

Alternatively, you can go for their Lychee Ice Cream Soda. It comes with real lychee fruit! Nothing special about it, but it works well with their dessert.
